I believe this has something to do with the overlay system of Origin. That way the parent process of an Origin game is always run under Origin.exe. It seems Origin always has to run the game from its own GUI (Origin.exe), so when you run for example Crysis3.exe directly it will send a signal to Origin.exe to launch Crysis3.exe before it exits. Nvidia Geforce Experience allows me to stream it via GameStream though (Nvidia Shield). I'm able to launch Watch Dogs from Steam using the approach above (replacing Origin exe with Uplay exe). I've tested variations on this approach to allow me to stream Watch Dogs (purchased via UPlay), but no luck so far.
